Last updated August 15, 2026
This notice explains the website and inquiry practices of BookWise Bookkeeping Solutions Ltd.. Client financial, payroll and tax records are also governed by the written engagement scope and access process agreed with each client.
Privacy contact
Kashish Goel is the BookWise privacy contact. Questions, access requests, corrections and complaints can be sent to bookwise.ca@gmail.com or discussed by calling 778-350-4635.
Information we may collect
- Contact details and business information you provide by email, phone or appointment booking.
- Information needed to understand the bookkeeping, tax or administrative service you request.
- Technical request information normally processed by the website host, such as an IP address, browser type and requested page.
- Client records provided under a separate engagement, including only the financial, payroll, tax or business information needed for the authorized work.
Package calculator and estimate emails
The package calculator stores service selections in your browser. BookWise does not receive those selections unless you submit the estimate form. When you submit it, the client name, business name if provided, email address, selected services, estimated totals and consent record are sent to BookWise and an estimate copy is sent to the client email entered in the form. Do not enter passwords, banking information, tax identifiers or sensitive documents in the estimate form.
The estimate-email form uses FormSubmit as a delivery provider and Gmail for the BookWise mailbox. These providers process the submitted information to deliver the requested messages and may process information outside British Columbia under their own privacy terms. The website does not currently require a user account or use advertising pixels. Your browser and the website host may still use essential technical storage needed to deliver and protect the site.
Why we use information
BookWise uses information for reasonable purposes connected to your request: responding to inquiries, scheduling a review, preparing a scope or quote, delivering authorized services, maintaining business and tax records, securing accounts, and meeting legal or regulatory obligations. Information is not sold.
Consent and service providers
By choosing to contact, book or submit an estimate, you consent to reasonable use of the information for that request. The booking and email features use third-party providers. Those providers may process information under their own terms and in locations outside British Columbia. Do not send passwords, banking credentials or highly sensitive documents through ordinary email. A separate secure access and document process is established when required for client work.
Protection and access
BookWise limits access to authorized work, uses approval points for sensitive actions and expects records to be shared through the agreed process. No method is risk-free, but reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used based on the sensitivity of the information.
Retention and deletion
Inquiry information is kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage the relationship and meet legal or business requirements. Client records follow the applicable engagement, tax and legal retention requirements. When information is no longer reasonably required, BookWise will securely delete it or remove identifying details where practical.
Access, correction and complaints
You may make a written request to access or correct personal information under BookWise control. Include enough detail to identify the information, but do not include passwords or banking credentials. BookWise may need to verify identity and may be unable to disclose information where the law restricts access or another person’s privacy would be affected.
If a concern is not resolved after contacting BookWise, information about private-sector privacy rights is available from the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
